Installation
Installation
First of all, check out if your navigator is compatible with this extension, list can be found in the applications section.
To install, just go to the install page and select the "install extension" link.You can also download the extension and open it later with a compatible navigator.
The extension will be available after a navigator restart.
Desinstallation
As the extension manager just exists in the version of Firefox above 0.9 (includes), they are only versions with an easily desintallation mecanism.
To desintall the extension, just go in "Tools" / "Extensions" menu, select the line corresponding to the extension, and click to the "uninstall" button
How to use
Create a jetable email
Once you've installed the extension, you will be able to generate jetable email.
You only can create such a email in a page form. To do this, click with the right button of the mouse on a text box. You'll see an entry in the context menu (see figure).
Now you have to specify what email and life span you want to set to your jetable email. Depending on your preferences or on your previous creations, you'll may choose in a list of emails. You can also enter a new one. (see figure)
Then click on the "go" button. If there are no error, the popup will close and your text-box will be filled with a @jetable.org generated email.
Preferences
You can save up to five emails in your preferences (see figure), at every creation, these emails will be accessible in a list in the popup window. If an case is empty, it will be filled by the next new mail you'll enter.
Access to the preferences dialog depends on your navigator and version
- Firefox 0.9 : Select the "Tools" / "Extensions" menu, then choose the line corresponding to the extension and click in th first little icon on the top right of the line.
- Firefox < 0.9 : Select the "Tools" / "Options" menu, choose the "Extensions" tab, select the good line and click on the "Options" button.
- Mozilla : There is no extension manager, so an item "Get jetable mail" is created in the "Tools" menu. Choose the "preferences" submenu.
